I am using ObjectDock Plus and have just started with using it this weekend. Sadly a few capabilities that I was looking to use were not present. Maybe these thoughts help find out what some customers are missing.
1. The tabbed docks do not allow for the Zoom-Effect to work. Of course this is not easy to implement due to the way the effect can overlap the tabs but from the description of "plus" it sounded like it was in
2. I was trying to make some of the docks as unobtrusive as possible. The intended behavior was for them to hide off-screen by default, be permanently on the bottom layer (Directly above the desk top) and appear only if the mouse is over them for a set time AND no application window is between the mouse and the desk top. Sadly autohide does not work together with the lowest z-ordering.
3. I have placed a small dock (Non-Tabbed) at a position in the lower third of the screen center. It serves as a set of much-used icons that are supposed to be big and on the desk top. as such they are meant to be always in the background but not auto-hidden. They work alright but when a window partially covers the dock and the mouse moves over the dock then the dock pops up over the window. The dock is supposed to stay in the background at all times.
I mentioned #1 because I was irritated by how the feature works. #2 and #3 are easier to change I guess. I would really thank you if you could allow docks to behave like described in those sections.
