I realize "apng" is still in its early stages, but are there plans to make this format or any other similar alpha channel animations supported? If not then please (re)consider this eye-candy!

A personal suggestion: Options to either play animation on mouseover and freeze the image when the pointer moves away or always play. Might also play through the ongoing loop on mouseovers even if the pointer leaves the area midways.

Could be nice right? What do you think?
