help with bootskins

ok i need help in making bootskins.i use to make some but they were never really good and i need a tutorail and not the one from cyberworld cuz i read that one and its good but i still am not good at it.if you have tips for hwo to make one or any info on making a good progress bar plzz reply or email me at chrismasters300@aim.com becuase its really hard for me to make a progress bar

I'd post your problem in a photshop forum for photoshop help. (I'd also provide more detail to the problem)
I use Paint.net, Gimp, (and ArtRage). The first two are free. Why don't you try those?
