SkinStudio 6 verdicts

Is it getting easier?

I'd love to hear the thoughts of skinners on whether the new SkinStudio beta (version 6) is working out well.

Skinning has to get a LOT easier than it's gotten in the past year or two. So how are we doing?

hello has all

I am new a skiner

My PC is under Vista Ultimate 64Bit
I am thus not the choice of use…
I work under SKS6 since 1 last month every day.

I have a andicape, it is that I do not speak very quite English…

but I find Sks6 much more pleasant and easier than sks5

it is obvious that right by using it I noticed step badly bug (color of makes for example) and of the missing options….

but I must acknowledge that I am for the moment very proud of my first skin (yet entirely not finished)….
and I from of deduced as it is largely possible at present to as well make with same Sks6 as Sks5 if some lacks on the ptions….

highly the update which I hope will be soon to rectify some details and to be able to put on line

just I have remark not badly bug between Sks6 and Photoshop CS3 (when photoshop is open into large)

In Preferences > Advanced > "Show tree in edit window"

I feel like most and use SKS5. I've tried SKS6 and now with the tree view (Thanks) it will be more appealing but until they change the way you save the skin and several other things I'll stay with 5.

I agree that the tip from Koasati about how to access the 'tree' in SS6 is welcome. What I liked about SS5 when I first opened it, was that I could just click anywhere on a group preview and be taken straight to a specific element, without my even having to know it's name.

It's that level of mapping that I miss in SS6. I'm not a whizz like some of these folks, but it seemed more immediate. More like I was looking down on top of the whole, rather than being in amongst it moving from room to room.
