The IE-based browser Maxthon 2 was released.

Maxthon drank the google-juice and ruined their product.  http://www.betanews.com/article/Google_Investing_in_Maxthon_Browser/1176236856

They made their "Favorites" system incompatible with base IE and in turn lost most of their loyal users.
