Buying TweakVista?

First time i heard TweakVista and it sure looks good product, BUT when i look buy option and what im buying there is no mention what kind on license im going to get, is it like some lame 12months subscription like that one other "unnamed" product or is full lifetime registration what gives me assurance that i can get future upgrades free of charge as well?

most progs now are timed subscriptions, as most folks would want continuing support,,yes i know the common misconception is that $20 they got for that prog was like lottery winnnings and now their totally wealthy beyond belief...reality is the $20 bought the prog but after splitting it with the employees and the mortgage co. and the elec co. and the guys who supply the servers, and the bandwith costs from an isp,etc. the $20 dont go very far...I pay more than that on lunch...

lets say you build a car and sell it for $20 but the roads constantly changing and the car you sold to folks needs updates to be able to work smoothly on the ever changing new roads...as the manufacturer would you be able to afford constant indefinate upgrades and updates on a car you sold for $20? think how much you would have in 3 years at that rate...nothing.. you would be bankrupt.... employees and buisness require $$$ to run.. good will and great intention dont pay the light bill

as for tweak vista ? i cant answer... but i support companies who are smart enough to keep the $ flowing to pay for the resources dedicated to keeping their software supported and up to date

they could always go the way of the larger companies and offer free life time support .. but the progs would cost $700+ like the os's do

oh but wait according to todays software terminology "life time" is only 7 years from release date... then your on your own

Most of Stardock's standalone products are sold on a "major version" basis. That is, for buying TweakVista 1.0 you would get 1.1 and 1.6 but not 2.0. There might be special upgrade pricing for a person who had already bought 1.0. This is all somewhat conjectural as there is not a 2.0 yet. Some other Stardock products have had free major version upgrades, but I cannot give you any assurance of that for TweakVista.

While we will try to fix problems and add features to the product after release, there is no absolute guarantee of either (though if you have a problem in the software that cannot be fixed you should be able to claim a refund). You should use the trial to evaluate TweakVista and see if it fits your needs - if so, you should buy it. It's worth noting that, unlike trial and
"beta" versions, "release" versions of Stardock products (including Object Desktop components) do not expire, so it will not just stop working on you if you don't upgrade.

Mainstream support for Windows XP in the US is available until April 2009, though they are probably talking about XP SP2.
