Are there any good Optical Character Recognition programs out there? In my office, we often hav eto scan hard copies of documents and turn them into Excel spreadsheets. Currently, we have a program that does this, but it requires a lot of editing to get it to what we need. Because we are accountants, we NEED to have the scanned document be an exact copy of the old document, and after all the checking that goes into it it often might have been faster to just hard input all the data. I need a cost effective OCR program that will be accurate and require a minimum of input from staff. If anyone has something they use that they really like, please let me know, even if it's expensive.
