Dreamscene not capable of true hd?

Hey guys im wondering if its just me or if everyone is having this problem. I set hd video game trailers and movies as my background and the quality is downgraded drastically! I even use hd movies in 720p format and they come out looking bad. Is it normal that the video is downgraded in quality? And do you know if MS will fix this problem? Thanks

Do you have a HDCP Compilant video card and monitor?

If not, it's not a bug, it's a feature of Vista.

That's only for copyprotected videos, Dist.

I've never had any problems. I set a 1920x1200 wmv as my background once with no issues.

you don't need that for playing videos man!
i think the problem is simple
720P is too low, think about it, it's only 1280X720.
most monitors can go over that resolution including 1280X1024
