Windows maximize under taskbar at top of screen

I've been trialing WindowBlinds for the past few days and have found it fantastic, except for one major issue. I am running my taskbar at the top of the screen, and when I maximize windows the window is positioned with its title bar underneath the taskbar - as if WindowBlinds assumes the taskbar must be at the bottom of the screen. This appears to happen whatever theme I am using.
I realize I could work around this issue by either (a) moving the taskbar to the bottom of the screen, or ( auto-hiding the taskbar. However, I don't want to do either of these things.
I've seen this raised with previous versions but it still appears to be present. For me this is the only issue that would block me from using WindowBlinds on a regular basis, and purchasing the license.
Does anyone know if this is fixed in the 6.0 beta?

yes, i have seen this issue, it seems to assume the taskbar is at the default position, at the default size... if i make it 2U high or stick it elsewhere on the screen, it maximises under the taskbar and doesn't intrude on where the taskbar should be, even if it's not there anymore. I can't give any explanation or advice, just saying I've seen it too.

I just moved mine to the top - window stops under it when maximized.

right click the bar > properties > make sure 'keep on top' is checked (sometimes if it's already checked, unchecking/applying - rechecking/applying wakes it up)

I have my taskbar at the top and the same thing has happened to me with certain programs--even before I started using WB. Especially if I installed a program with the taskbar in a different place or with autohide on, and then changed it. A clean install of the program(s) with the taskbar set how I wanted it was the only thing that worked. Worth a try maybe? WB really is worth it.

I use a left vertical taskbar and have had this problem off and one for years. On Win2k, XP and Vista. Some builds of WB are better than others, and some applications are more or less likely to have the problem.

My guess is that there is more than one way for an application to test for "available" screen size and location and that one way works and the other is less reliable. It wouldn't surprise me at all that the one that causes more prolems is an older one left over from earlier versions of Windows.

The Always on top toggle does seem to have pretty good track record of clearing up the problem.

i have WB 5.0, windows XP, vertical taskbar. Keep on top doesn't help on anything I've tried... which have mostly been internet explorer 7, firefox 2, office 2007.

I am in Vista and running WB 6 beta and i always get the same problem whether it is opening Firefox or like word. I have tried the keep on top thing and it doesn't help. A better fix would be much appreciated.
