Few issues here under XP SP2:
1) Windows Live Messenger: With ODP 1.5, the running icons for the main window (contact list) and conversation/chat windows were identified correctly by their executable. Right clicking a running icon for a chat window and choosing 'dock entry properties' showed the title of the window and allowed you to select an icon just for that type of window (in fact msmsgs.exe). Right clicking the running icon for the main window/contact list and choosing 'dock entry properties' showed the window as 'Windows Live Messenger' (in fact, msnmsgr.exe)
With ODP 1.9, all running windows are seen as 'msnmsgr.exe' and therefore cannot have separate icons associated with them.
This definitely seems to be something within ObjectDock.exe, since manually switching between them (replacing one with the other and then restarting ODP) causes the problem to appear (with the 1.9 executable) or disappear (with the 1.5 executable).
2) Windows Update icon in System Tray: With ODP 1.5, clicking on the WU yellow shield in ODP's system tray resulted in the WU dialog popping up. This is obviously how it should be.
With ODP 1.9, clicking the WU yellow shield icon in ODP's system tray just causes it to be removed, but no WU dialog pops up. After a few moments the yellow shields reappears again. Rinse and repeat.
3) A number of other 'system tray' icons which change icon image based on their state (e.g. enabled/disabled) now fail to reflect the change with 1.9. Again, these did change icon image state with 1.5.
I'm guessing the latter two issues have been introduced with the changes made to the way the system tray works in 1.9.
As for point 1...this seems a bit of a backward step in misidentification of an applications windows, which worked perfectly in 1.5
All fixes gratefully received, as I have now gone back to 1.5 because of these issues...
Thanks,
Mark
