Mine is Airplane. But that ws kind of ruined for me by a friend who saw it first and raved about it! So I guess my expectations were too high when I saw it. But the second time I saw it I appreciated the fast one liners all the more! Now it is one of the 2 top comic movies that I can watch over and over again (the other being Young Frankenstein).

No, if they suck the first time for me they pretty well suck forever.   

But funny -I can think of a few songs that fall into that catagory. Like Tom Petty's I Won't Back Down for example. I hated it when it first came out but have since grown to like it.

I think that was part of the reason I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. To me, it's a 4-star movie now.

I'm kinda with Shovel on this one. If it sucked the first time, then nothing is going to make me believe it could be better on a second viewing. On the other hand, there are some movies I remember thinking were absolutely brilliant when I first saw them then turned out to be extremely suck-worthy on a subsequent viewing. I'm not going to name names because I don't want to reveal how bad my taste can be.

I thought 'V For Vendetta' was a good movie but nowhere near as good as the graphic novel. Okay, now thinking about it, the other Alan Moore adaptation 'From Hell' disappointed me greatly when I first saw it because it is nothing like the graphic novel. On subsequent viewings, I enjoyed the movie for what it is. I can't think of any other movie, though.

Total support on "Casablanca."

And, for what it's worth, I hated "Napolean Dynamite" on my first viewing, too...and I still do.

My mother likes 'Grumpy Old Men", too. BTW I mean the movie not my dad(My dad can be grumpy at times).

I seen "South Pacific" only once. I didn't like it , but again I was in high school when I saw it. I mean I saw it in a high school. Once a month the school would show a movie in the auditorium after lunch. I should've stayed in class and played cards.

All good movies. I have two friends who would argue over "The Royal Tenebaums". It was hilarious because their arguing kept right on going when "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" came out.


I liked it after a few viewings. But nowhere near what others do.

Okay, you asked for it. Anything starring Arnold Schwartzennegar (sp?) (no exceptions); Evil Dead III - Army Of Darkness (yes, I'm a big fan but I mean, it really is a b-grade flick. I recently tried to watch it with Toni and we got about a third way through before we both we like "okay, had enough now"). There are a bunch of horror movies and crappy thrillers whose names escape me at the moment as well, but I think I've embarrassed myself enough for the moment.

I love the Evil Dead movies. Maybe they should make a Evil Dead IV movie with Arnold.

I always watch movies I like over and over. Isn't there a movie you seen that you didn't hate but only thought was okay then after seeing it the second time you ended up liking it more?
