The "Basic swaying windows" effect is unusably slow in my current configuration, and I'd greatly appreciate help understanding why (and getting it to work better if possible).
The system is a laptop with a 2GHz Intel Core Duo processor and 2GB of RAM. The display adapter is an ATI MOBILITY FireGL V5200. I'm a little confused on the driver version; Windows reports it as 8.223.4.11 dated 9/5/2006, but WindowFX reports it as 6.14.10.6613. At any rate, it is the most recent available driver, installed this morning. WindowFX reports that it supports constant alpha blending and per pixel alpha blending, and that it supports the APIs required by WindowFX.
So ... recent hardware, newest display driver with all the right support ... why doesn't it work well? Anything I can try?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
