ObjectBar is one of Stardock's unsung heroes. I think it's THE power tool in the
ObjectDesktop suite.
Unfortunately, it has a reputation that it's hard to use; that it's hard to configure and personalize.
I,
myself, don't think that's the case. I think that it takes time to
decide what you want
your bar to do. Once you have that, actually
building the bar is relatively easy.
Jeff Bargmann has a really (good) complex
tutorial on how to make your own skins and themes but it's too much for
me, a power user. It's designed for skinners.
Now there's a
tutorial for the rest of us, how to make the bar that is right for you. It walks you though almost every feature
in OB from a user's perspective. It has screenshots and hints to make life a little easier.
Head over to
https://www.stardock.com/products/objectbar/docs and take a look at
"Creating an Object bar". If you have any questions, you can ask them
here.
Many thanks to the testers and proofreaders for all their help, you know who you are.
