using windowblinds on vista ultimate 64

i am currently running windows vista 64. is there any way for me to use windowblinds? whenever i try to install windowblinds 5.1, it seems to install, but i get an error saying WindowBlinds configuration has stopped working. Is there any way i could get the beta version without going through the updates?
