I recently purchased Aquarium Desktop 2007 and all of the add-on fish packs. This is one great piece of software, and I love it! However, when I'm running it, I've noticed that my CPU usage really gets very high, which in turn slows everything else down. I'm running Windows XP Pro, SP2, Pentium 4 CPU at 3GHz.
With no other applications running (except other DesktopX apps), my CPU usage fluctuates between 30% and 87%. As soon as I unload Aquarium Desktop 2007, my CPU usage drops to around 3%
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a way to make Aquarium less CPU-intensive? Like I said, I really like this software, but when I'm trying to actually be "productive" on my PC, it just slows things down way too much.
