I run the Aston shell replacement and have been using the Alienware GUI version of Object Dock up until recently (today). I decided to try ObjectDock freeware version as an alternative because I really like the standard dock that comes with the alienware gui system...but have run into a strange bug with the freeware object dock that doesn't exist with the one that comes with the alienware gui stuff.
In Aston there is a function that 'reloads' the shell - basically reinits everything, refreshes ram etc...however when I have ObjectDock running now (the freeware version), whenever I do a refresh on Aston, ObjectDock does very strange things to any windows I have open - basically ObjectDock makes windows think that the screensize is smaller than it actually is, and I can't move my windows up to the top of the screen...
It's very strange - If i have a window open, I can actually see the window shrinking as ObjectDock forces the window smaller and smaller...and once the windows are forced down to the bottom of the screen, I can't move them up to the top any more.
It's very strange, but the behavior goes away as soon as I kill objectdock and reopen it...
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before?

Had an idea, and just did a quick test...the bug is a result of the 'reserve screen space' checkbox in objectdock - unchecked this and the refreshing works as expected now...
Just thought I'd mention it - I find ObjectDock to be a fairly useful addition to the standard shell replacement that I run...it's reliance on Java is pretty annoying though (waste of ram), but fairly cool little tool.
Anyways, later
