Yesterday i discovered the world of desktop customization. I installed windowblinds and experimented with several skins. The program crashed a lot of times but i was able to recover each time.
The problems started when i installed DesktopX 3.0. After installation i tried to use this skin https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SkinID=3573&LibID=31
After i loaded it though there was no taskbar and start button... so after that i unloaded that theme and continued using windowblinds. After this incident, though, i noticed that whenever i maximized a window in fullscreen it would literaly take the whole screen and i would have no access to the taskbar.
I tried using the windowsXP default theme and disabled windowblinds but it didn't help.
My guess is that this problem occurred because of DesktopX so i tried to uninstall it. There was no uninstall program in the start menu so i went to control panel-add/remove programs but when i try to remove it i get the message "could not open install.log file".
I tried reinstalling and then uninstalling desktopX 3.0 but same thing happened.

I would really appreciate it if someone can help with these problems.
