Set those clocks back

I was sitting here very early this morning and just realized why I woke up at 5 a.m., but an hour later my laptop is still telling me it's 5 a.m.

For those of you in the U.S., it's "fall back" so we get an extra hour of sleep this morning. At least for those who can sleep.

Good to see I am not the only one with adjustment problems during these times of change...worse than jet lag for me

I set them just before I went to bed. Didn't help though, I'am up an hour early.

Over here in Oz, most of the states just went into savings time.

...'cept up here in Queensland, where everything blissfully remains the same.

Back in the day they originally introduced daylight savings time, the cow cockies [and others] up here vetoed it ...said it would mess with the cows body clocks, and affect milking cycles.

After all the years it's been in place, the Queensland government has finally decided they'll 'take it under consideration' and may fall in line with the rest of Australia.

Yep ...things happen very slowly in Queensland...

Not just the US , the UK too has daylight saving, bring on the winter ! Here in Scotland autumn (Fall) has yet to start all the trees are fully leafy and its surprisingly warm mmmmmmmm global warming is ruining my love of snow

I was doing the 'usual'...co-existing with the US zone....means I'm up every night till 2am ...then lo and behold...it's instantly 3 am....

Bastards...lost an hour of my life....

yup us intelligent people here in Arizona ain't got no time to fussin and fiddlin with that new fangled thing a ma jig you call daylight savins....all you fancy city folk think your a right bit smarter en us poop kickers....we just leave the ol clocks alone and go about our business like GOD INTENDED...

Yeah sorry for all you others out there..We do not do daylight savings It makes it so much nicer..

Bleh. I've just been working in my greenhouse, putting up some bubble pack insulation cause the first frost is forecast for Wed/Thu of this week. I had to give up about 5:15 because it was completely dark and my greenhouse light isn't all that bright.

I wish we could stay on summer time, the extra light in the afternoons would be most welcome.

I came back to Norway from England on Saturday morning. Set my time one hour forward as I landed only to realise I had to set it back a few hours later.

Smart monkies! We can do all this and it's still the same. "Man plans...God laughs".   Right on, Arizona and Queensland! Leaves are all down here and we've had our first snow. 20 deg.F nites and 40s days. Here we go again...  
[shovel in the morning, drifts back, shovel at night, dumps again, keep the water running so it doesn't freeze, plug in the cars.] Jet lag? They write a prescription around here to rent "sun lights" to put behind yr PC monitors so you don't get S.A.D.(seasonal affective disorder)from the time changes! Great-great grandma just kicked grampa in the slats for "cabin fever" so he'd go out and chop wood.

I don't like the time change. I rather it be light out later in the evening than first thing in the morning. Of course the kids riding buses would be doing it in the dark. The time change itself means little to me. I still sleep the same hours. I guess I'm lucky it doesn't disrupt my life. Winter disrupts my life though, and that is always coming when the time "Falls Back". Yuk.
