I read 12 a year....one each month! Can never wait to rush out to the newsagent to pick up my copy of Playboy...very good articles, you know.

Seriously, the last book I read (keep referring to) is 'The Complete Idiots Guide to XP'. The one before (and still referred to) was 'The Complete Idiots Guide to Fixing Your #$%@ PC'....and I'm still none the wiser.

The last fiction works I read were 'No Highway' by Neville Shute, and 'Cut Rate Kingdom' by Thomas Keneally, but that was some time ago. Since discovering computing and the ease/convenience of the internet around 3 years ago, I've not really considered picking up a book to read....unless it was computer related. Perhaps I should get the script for my reading specs updated and take myself off to the local library to pick up a novel or two.

Last book I read was the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy trilogy [of five books] ...which I've read innumerable times. Some of the best Sci-Fi comedy fiction pieces ever written, IMHO.

Just finished reading it again last week.

The books I read before that were pretty much all of the Dean Koontz fiction/horror fiction series. I'd finish one, and immediately go and get another. If you end up liking that King book, Tycus ...you'll probably enjoy the writings of Koontz.

I always read just before sleeping, as it helps the eyes become heavy.

ah! and about Koontz books, i'll try to see if i can find something from him, maybe you can suggest me a title.

So has my sister....she has all Kings books in hardback, including some he wrote under another name. She also has a collection of Koontz books as well (heading back to Brissy in Feb 07) so that'll save me a few trips to the library/having to get them myself.

Strangely enough, I have no problems reading text on my PC screen, but I do experience some difficulty when reading ordinary print text...will have to get my specs updated before I get there, me thinks.

what about this one: "Storm of the Century (1999)"..? this is the book i'm trying to read, it's kindda hard to read it becouse is not written as a normal story, is more like a script of a TV show., but well, i do like it, right now i'm in page 95 and things are getting realy good in the story!  

I have read EVERY Dean Koontz book he has written, some 3-4 times.
On average I read 80-100 pages a night before i sleep, it helps me empty whats in my mind, YEAH ZU.. Go for it,
That averages out to somewhere between 2-5 books a month. Depending on their size.
I'm reading Eldest (from the Eragon series) right now, it is really good. Gives Harry Potter a run for its money.

Reading to me was always something other people did, i never read a single book from beginning to end till i was around 19-20, when my brother gave me the "Caves of Steel" book from Issac Asimov. One of the best Si-fi book around.

I have read almost all of Asimov's works, Dean Koonts', All the Harry Potters, Clive Cussler, and tons more.

Reading has become something that i look forward to every night. Its an escape from life. I look for books that pull you in, and build a detailed world. Dont pick on the Harry Potter books if you have never read them, they are one of the best "escape" series around.

I am almost always reading two books. I'll read Sci-fi, horror, legal thriller, non-fiction, whatever. I don't count how many I read anymore.

My parents used to ground me from reading as a kid when I was REALLY bad. They'd even prevent me from reading the backs of cereal boxes.

I typically manage a book every week or two. Without the public library, I'd be broke(er). I'm actually physically uncomfortable if I haven't got a book handy. Like Oscar Gordon, it's an addiction - anything with words in a row.
