Hello again, hope this is "two for a nickel" day.
As I attempt to get the control center working just luv-il-lee, I'm running into a couple of problems.
(1) In control center I am inserting SDmeters to monitor my hard drive partitions (I like having a bunch of partitions so I can easily back up the important data and avoid typing in long directory paths. . .). I have:
A: the standard floppy and
C: drives,
D: a CD drive
E:- F: a couple of portable drives (one an external hard disk and one a "thumb drive" I keep all my passwords and really important stuff on. . .)
G: programs
H: important data (backed up frequently)
and some Linux partitions, swap partition and so on, up to P:
Here's the frustrating thing: I can add SD Harddrive meters for most of these by configuring the "Disk E: Meter" by changing the hard drive designater. This works great for most of my drives, but a couple just won't configure!
That is, when I am filling out the configuration screen it looks OK, except that the drive letter doesn't show in the greyed box. But when I save it, instead of seeing the pretty little label and bar, I just get the bar (and it doesn't meter anything, just sits there).
Any ideas? Why would the thing work fine for 5 drives and choke on one in the middle?
Thanks, everyone
