This has been driving me nuts and i dont understand why its happening or how to fix it...

I recently noticed after installing a couple of games that my icon x is not properly displaying their shortcut icons, these icons are usually listed inside the .exe file of the game and when i unload icon x they show up perfectly normal... when icon x is loaded the pictures turn into the unknown file icon for my computer.... This is also happening with certain files i download, such as video files, or folders containing files... instead of seeing the icon i set for folders when i download a folder containing files it shows up as the same unknown file icon...

Like i said this is only with icon x, once i unload icon x, my downloaded folders display as the proper folder icon (instead of the unknown icon) and my shortcuts to programs show up properly again... Also i thought i might note.. The unknown icon that is being displayed is NOT the icon i set for unknown files, it is the icon that is used by system32 to display unknown files... When i unload icon x, if the file doesnt have an association it will display as the icon i set for unknown files, or if it has an association or a picture thats in the exe file of the game, it will display the proper picture...

Is this a known bug that is being worked on or am i the first to notice this (i highly doubt that) or am i just incredibly unlucky, or do i have an older version and need to update, whats the deal guys anyone know?
