I have the same problem of explorer freezing on shutdown - so i thought i would write a macro to unload winfx and then terminate windows normally. Since the windowfx icon would not always be in the same location in the system tray i cannot rely on mouse x and y coordinates to record the macro. If i can write a command option which i will then record the keystrokes as a macro and do the needful.

I would also want to know how come windows explorer does not 'stop responding' on shutdown when windowfx is loaded if i sue a scipted shortcut command line for shutting down windows??

When i downloaded windows fx (new version) from the stardock website link a few days ago how come it said that this public vesion has expirered (or something similar to that)- what am i supposed to do to be able to test the new version and experience its differences befoore i buy???
