Taskbar not being skinned

Hi there,

I have just downloaded the trial version of windowblinds, as I am looking for an alternative to stylexp.

I am having a problem with it though. When I try to apply a skin, (I have so far only tried with the ones which come with the program .. havent downloaded any) it is skinning browser windows, but the taskbar has set to classic, (I think it's classic ... it certainly isn't any of the skins I have 'added'!) and won't skin with any of the skins I have tried.

I checked some of the other threads here and saw it was useful to include the system info ... so here it is.

Are you honestly saying that the trial version of a piece of software does not include a trial of its main functions?

I really am asking for help here! Can it genuinely be that in order to see how this piece of software really works, I would have to spend $20? I thought the idea of a trial was that it gives you a trial of the software you want to buy?? I have looked all over the software i have installed and I cant find anywhere where it says you cannot skin the taskbar etc.

Is it true that I am unable to skin major parts of windows unless I pay? And what happens if I am *then* unsatisfied with your product?

If that is the case, I shall certainly have to uninstall and look elsewhere for a trial which does what it says on the wrapper. Shame really.

The taskbar and start menu should indeed be skinned even by the trial version. The only 'major' things it does not skin to my knowledge are scrollbars and progress meters.

That would depend on who's definition of main functions

which are you calling taskbar?
the one at the bottom next to start?
or the one with icons at the top in the window?

The taskbar with the start, I believe should be skinned. Do you have 'start' set to 'start menu' or 'classic start menu'? right click on it, properties, start menu tab = should be set to 'start menu' not 'classic start menu'
