If Windows is asking you what program to use to open CurXPtheme-files that means one of the following:
1. CursorXP (the software program, see the Link in my first answer, klick on the word "Link") is not installed on your system, or did not correctly install.
Solution: Download and install CursorXP (the software program, click on the word "Link" in my first answer to go to the CursorXP website and then click on "try"). If you already installed it, uninstall it > reboot the computer > reinstall the software program > reboot the computer again.
2. Windows somehow lost its association with CurXPTheme-files (less likely)
Solution: When Windows asks you for the Program to open the files: click on "browse" and point to your CursorXP.exe file.
!!This File is only on your computer if CursorXP (the software program) is installed on your computer
!! You can either find this file in C:\Program Files(or Dutch variation)\CursorXP or, in C:\Program Files\Stardock\CursorXP.
Never give up, never surrender
