What do Stardock think about the future of DesktopX in light of Microsoft Expression Interactive Designer? Expression is very similar in terms of being able to quickly develop outstanding user experiences for either Windows Vista or XP SP2 applications backed up by the power of the .NET 3.0 Runtime. I've been playing with Expression and it's very impressive, providing a similar design vs. code separation paradigm to DesktopX but seriously amped up in terms of rich media, 3D, vector graphics etc.
DesktopX is much lighter than Expression in that a Gadget can be executed standalone without a 40MB runtime sat behind it so the comparison isn't perfect, but it's still something that Stardock need to be aware of and ready with a differentiation statement...
