If your 'on/off' is in regards to turning it off to game, I believe there is a docklet that does that for you. No access to WC from here so I can't go look in docklets.
But I'm pretty sure someone came up with one that shuts down OD when you open a game, and then restarts when the game is closed.
Then again, maybe I've had too much coffee.
