Hello again.


New guy trying to save time here.


Using Desktop X Pro (got the old version working again, but still having
trouble upgrading to 3.19) (I have another topic for that though...), I
made an mp3 player from scratch with plug-ins.


That was amazingly easy!


I tried adding a volume control and found I need a lot more study to
understand how to make my own after the fashion of the Silica Volume
control provided as an example.


So, to save time, I changed the graphics on the Silica Volume Control
and tried to Nail it to my own player (These are the ones we have
permission to do this sort of thing with, right?).


I failed miserably!


I got wildly varying results depending upon how I set things up for
grouping.


I realize that I am just trying to save time here. I can probably
figure it out if I study the example for an afternoon or two... but I
suspect there is a very simple answer to this that my self taught brain
is missing!


Any Tips?


I can detail what happened, but it seems useless. I did try just
grouping all 3 ways and then resetting the parent relationships for the
volume... but with no success.
