Hi everybody.
I'm having this funny behaviour on two different machines and I'm starting to ask if it's been smart spending 20 bucks on this.
On the PC I use at work, it all goes well. It has an integrated video chipset, so performance with transparency is awful, but everything works fine: WindowBlinds config panel is ok, I can see the scrolling bar at the bottom and I can access themes and settings from Display Properties -> Appearance panel too.
On my home PCs though, windowblinds has this trange behaviour.
First of all, integration in display properties never works.
I tried unregistering wbui.dll and registering again: no effect.
I tried to uninstall, reboot, remove stardock entries from Windows registry and reinstall: no change.
Windowblinds buttons and themes don't show up in Appearance tab of Display Properties. That panel only shows standard Win XP built-in themes, with Classic Windows selected, no matter what theme is currently on in WindowBlinds.
The other funny thing it does is cutting off the last line and a half in WindowBlinds config panel. It's cut just below the skins display, so that the scroll bar can't be seen. If it was only for that, it wouldn't be a problem; but in other panels of the config window, some options and buttons are cut off, like in Per Application Settings panel, where I can't add any application to the list of exclusions since I can't see any add button at all!
And no scroll bars are there to reach for the missing items. WindowBlinds "thinks" the window is big enough, but in fact it isn't.
For the rest, Windowblinds is fully operational and skins are always applied correctly.
As I was saying, this happens on the two PCs I have at home and not on the PC at work. The two home PCs both have nVidia video cards on them: one system has a GeForce Ti 4400 and the other is running a SLI configuration with 2x GeForce 7800 GT. Both have most recent drivers form nVidia.
If someone has any idea what the hell is going on, I'd really appreciate if he/she would share it with me. I love WindowBlinds but these little nuisances are driving me mad.
Thanks for any help.
