ObjectDock 1.3 How to set maximized windows to not cover the dock?

The ObjectDock webpage says this is possible with 1.3

According to the ObjectDock web page 1.3 allows the user to apply a setting that will reserve the space of a docked dock and prevent maximized windows from using that space. I've been through every option in ObjectDock Plus 1.3 and I can't find any way to set that. The readme doesn't mention it and the web page only talks about the feature, not how to enable it.

Any help would be appreciated.

AFAIK it only works on tabbed docks.

Sometimes I just lower the workspace area on DesktopX, it usually works

A app that someone was paid to make given away with all the features is ridiculous. It's CRAZY!!

Spend the $15 and get all the features. It's worth it.

Hello i am using object dock 1.3 the free version -I did hear that the free version does not have that capability to keep maximized window from covering the dock - I am using Windows FX and it seems to be working - one of the features is to set the window coordinates yourself so that they dont cover the bar - it is working fine so far I would recommend it if you have not tried it yet I have not researched the other options I am just looking for an app that will not cover my bar

yep works fine that way. WFX is also useful to constrain max windows so you can keep the transparent/translucent window edges

Either you're trolling badly or you missed where I said "Object Dock Plus" in my original post. I purchased OD+ quite some time ago. Free version or Pro, it doesn't matter, only reserving space for tabbed docks is dumb. Why can't I have a non-tabbed dock on the edge of my screen and constrain maximized windows from overwriting that space?

That does indeed work. In a multi-monitor setup, though, it reserves that space on every monitor. While maximized windows on my right monitor don't cover my dock maximized windows on my left monitor leave an unused gap on the right edge of the screen.

I'm so disappointed about this feature only working for tabbed docs. I have wanted to replace my taskbar with a dock since I first bought this program a year ago. I can't, because I want the startbar replacement to contain the running tasks and system tray, but that isn't possible on the tabbed docks. And I don't want my dock to cover the windows, or be on autohide, and that's not possible with untabbed docs.

Also, tabbed docks reserving space look ugly because the space on either side of the tabs is just empty desktop when you maximize.

I still like the program, but I can't use it the way I want until we get this feature. I'll sruvive, of course. But if we ever get it I'll be very happy.

I've been looking for a solution to this for a couple of years. WinFX doesn't work for me. It refuses to respect the X,Y coordinates I set. Not on my desktop, or the laptop I just acquired. But I finally found a fix...... Sizer http://www.brianapps.net/sizer.html
