Forget M:I:III, bring on X:III (X-Men 3) The Last Stand.
I'll see M:I:III (Mission Impossible 3) somewhere down the road, probably free on HBO or something similar, maybe via Netflix disc rentals or similar, but I really just don't have the interest in paying any of my not so large allotment of disposable income to buy tickets for anything that helps to line the pockets of Tom Cruise. Cruise and his brand of I'm smarter than you, psychology is bunk, and you should all be following the ways of scientology just don't do anything for me.
I used to think he was one of my favorite actors, and enjoyed his movies (Top Gun and even the somewhat corny and predictable Top Gun on the race track NASCAR themed Days of Thunder as examples, along with A Few Good Men, Rain Man and a few other choices that I enjoyed). Lately though his antics have just been so irritating and over-the-top that I just can't stomach him, or at least can't stomach the thought of him justifying his craziness by cashing a check that is even a dime ($0.10) larger because I was a patron for his work.
On the other hand, I'm very much looking forward to the X-Men 3 movie. The previews look very good for it, and the story is one that seems to be engrossing (or at least looks like it will be).
I'll be glad to go out of my way to see X:3 and see how the good guys win one for the world.
