City of Heroes problem

Won't run game on dual core system with Windowblinds running - is fine with wb unloaded

Since I installed Windowblinds 5.0.1.0 I can no longer launch the game City of Heroes.

When I start the game, it stops on the LOADING . . . screen, unless I set the processor affinity for Cityofheroes.exe to only use a single core.

This wasn't happening before installing Windowblinds - to test and prove the cause of the problem if I unload windowblinds the game loads fine, but if I then load windowblinds the problem is back.

Any idea on how I can get around this problem, and how I can use window blinds on a dual core AMD X2 without it adversely affecting other applications?

Is the exclusion setting not working with COH?
Open up the WB config. Select Per Application from the left side panel. Click on "add per application setting. Browse to the COH exe. Click the first box "Ignore this application and do not skin it".

OK and go play your game.

Awesome - that worked perfectly! I didn't realise you could exclude certain applications, so I was unloading windowblinds instead.

Some apps don't like to be skinned - some of those work fine if you only skin the title bar.

Not only can you exclude, you can have different apps use different skins - top option in per app
