WB Bug: Maximize alignment incorrect on multi-monitor configuration having different resolutions

Verified to be a WindowBlinds problem by adding app to exception list

I have two monitors. My primary monitor is a 1600x1200 display, and my secondary monitor is 1680x1050. When I drag windows to the secondary display, the windows maximize in the secondary display (as they should) but with the dimensions of 1600x1200 rather than 1680x1050. As a result, a gap appears on the right and some of the window is cropped on the bottom.

I'm running WinFX 3.0 but adding the app (iexplore.exe) to WinFX's exception list did not resolve the problem. Adding the app to WindowBlinds 5's exception list resolved the problem. Unfortunately, it only resolved the problem for that app; all apps that can be maximized seem to suffer the same plight.

What skin are you using?

Having secondary screens larger than the primary exposes a problem in XP. WB automatically disables the feature which exposes this problem when it detects it, but I am wondering if the detection code we have never considered a screen that was wider, but less tall.

If this is the problem then any per pixel skin should work fine as do UIS1 skins. Only UIS2 skins which use the maxbordercut setting will show the problem.

Also do your 2 screens appear as 2 screens in display properties?

Yes, my 2 screens appear as 2 screens in display properties. Actually, 3 appear because I also have MaxiVista (a third party product) installed for a third 1600x1200 display (monitor # 3, positioned to the far left, running on another laptop). So my Display properties' display positioning configuration is 3 on left, 1 in middle, and 2 on right, with 3 and 1 being 1600x1200 while display 2 is 1680x1050, and displays 3 and 2 are positioned to the left and right (respectively) of #1 but about 300 pixels lowered since #3 and #2 are both laptops and #1 is a desktop LCD on a taller mount.

Generally, MaxiVista is turned off and displays #1 and #2 "drive the show". The reported problem is when dragging a window from display #1 to display #2 and maximizing it. I haven't really had any issues with maximizing windows with MaxiVista or otherwise secondary monitors thrown in the mix, except for Citrix windows refusing to maximize in the secondary display, until now with WB5 freshly installed.
