Had a problem today...I hope someone can tell me what's up!
New computer, clean, no extranneous programs running in the background, like AV.
Running WB trial and have loaded IconPackager trial, CursorXP and ThemeManager. Running Copper_Deck_2_WB5. And most of the suite...incuding a CopperDeck boot skin.
I was playing Halflife 2 this afternoon and suddenly the screen went blank and the computer proceeded to reboot. But just before the computer went back into windows (XP Pro SP2) the screen went blank again and it proceeded to reboot. After a couple times doing this, I turned the computer off and after a short time started back up.
I got the screen that asks if you want to go into safe mode, etc., or "start windows normally." I chose start normally and the whole process began all over again. Finally after several false starts and going into safe mode, on yet another reboot, I chose to restart with "last known good configuration."
That worked and I am up and running again. But I am a bit nervous now.
When Windows came back up the bootskin was back to the default in ThemManager and although most of my icons are true to the copperdeck suite, the "My Computer" icon, on the desktop, is also back to Windows default.
Is it possible that WindowBlinds or any of the other pieces of ObjectDesktop cause this?
Sure would appreciate some help here...
